I am an experienced Mental Health Nurse, Psychotherapist and Educator, accredited with the BABCP and NMC. I am empathetic, understanding, open-minded and thrive working to make people be their best selves.
I volunteered in a Mental Health Hospital and I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse at Cardiff University in 2011, and worked as a Registered Mental Health Nurse there until 2017.
In 2017, I studied Post Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Therapies at the University of Reading and a Post Graduate Diploma In Psychological Therapies Practice (High-Intensity CBT) from the University of Exeter in 2018.
I am also a trained in EMDR Therapist, DBT Essentials and DBT Skills-Development Groups, CFT for shame-based trauma and in Transdiagnostic Approaches to Imaginary in therapy.
I worked in primary care services across Wales and England. Currently, I work as a CBT and EMDR practitioner in a Secondary Mental Health team and work privately as an online therapist.
Before working as a mental health specialist, I studied in Spain at Universidad de Almeria, specialising in Child Physical Education.
I have extensive experience in online CBT for OCD, PTSD, Trauma Memories, Sleep and Performance Anxiety. Online therapy for anxiety disorders is offered by using CBT. I also use EMDR and Integrative Therapy to work on trauma and exploring difficulties.
As an experienced and BABCP accredited CBT and EMDR online therapist, I look at therapy as a journey and adventure, with the possibility of new beginnings and ending in the place you want to be.
With a special interest in working with difficulties that are not diagnostic driven, I tailor-made the therapy to the individual needs. I do so by integrating CBT with other approaches, as well as third-wave CBT.
